Student browser redirecting

Whilst working with numerous classes across the school I have noticed that students frequently have difficulty logging in. Under certain conditions the address bar in the browser has a message about "redirecting" that does not go away even if the browser is closed then reopened.

I am not sure of what is causing the problem however I have a suggestion that in my experience will prevent this issue 100% of the time.

I have found that if students open Chrome from the desktop icon and *immediately* log into the student portal the constant redirecting message appears to be no longer a problem. In my experience this is a fix 100% of the time.

If any other sequence is used (eg open Chrome from the Taskbar, or search and open Portal or Google Classroom) then the redirecting message can still appear.

I would appreciate feedback about whether this works for you.
