The Department has licensed AirServer so that it can be installed on department-owned computers (primarily the miniPC attached to the classroom MLD). This will allow screen sharing for pretty much any device to be displayed on a Windows computer, for example the miniPC that is attached to the MLD in most rooms, or your own iPad, iPhone, other phone or tablet, or Macintosh or Windows laptop. Supported protocols are AirPlay, Google Cast and MiraCast.
This is similar to Windows Connect, the difference being that AirServer works with most devices and allows for multiple connections at the same time, whereas Connect will only work with Windows and only allows one connection at a time.
The installation package can be found in the Software Centre of the miniPC. Please note that, by default, if AirServer is running it can be seen by devices and there are no restrictions on any device to be able to connect ie students will be able to see and display their device onto the AirServer screen even if they are not in the same room. I recommend changing EACH of the protocols to restrict access.
