I'd like to share the approach that I use to prepare for disparate classes each morning. There may be things here that you might find useful. Or not. YMMV.
Check the Daily Bulletin on my iPhone before I get out of the car, note any PGD esp morning duty and any merged classes. Sigh deeply.
Copy classes and teachers to a table in macOS Notes. This will sync to my iPad & iPhone so that I know where I should be in the event that Compass or the internet is not available. Happens more often than you might think. The screenshot is of a typical day.
Duplicate the master Google Slide deck with one slide per lesson, enter class name and copy lesson instructions from Compass. Having all the lesson notes in one place makes it easier for me to understand what I have to deliver in each lesson. I also ensure that any links are working. If the instructions are greater than the space on the slide I duplicate that slide to continue the teacher's notes.
The master slide deck also has dynamic placeholders for current date and time at the top right corner. This uses a Chrome extension called Slides Timer.
For each class I log into the miniPC (using my 8 character NetworkID not full email!) on the MLD and open Chrome to the Portal. This ensures that I have all the authentication that I need including the Single Sign On for Clickview. I don't have to log in again during the lesson.
During the lesson I may take a photo directly to Google Drive of any printed sheet that the teacher has given for the lesson such as answers etc. I then add a blank slide and place the photo of the printed sheet for students to see on the MLD.
If I have a fractious class and intend to make multiple Compass entries I open the class photo list on my iPad, take a screen shot, then use coloured pens to markup the photos so that I remember the behaviour I intend to record in Compass later on.
Append "Casual teacher notes" underneath the lesson notes from the class teacher. In these notes I try to give a synopsis of the lesson as well as any students of note or concern.
At the end of the lesson I always restart the miniPC. This ensures that the computer processes any updates that are pending. Take a deep breath and move on to the next class. Rinse and repeat.
