Make Your Words
Using materials around the house or outside (play dough, toothpicks, sticks, pebbles etc.), make your 5 spelling words.
Daily warm up: This week’s warm up is counting backwards starting at a number between 1 and 30 and counting back to 0. If you can, start at a higher number. Then sing along to our song of the week.
Choose a number. Record your thinking on paper showing as much information about the number as possible.
Create a colour pattern.
You can draw it, paint it or make it (using cereal, Lego, loom bands etc).
Make a triangle from toothpicks, icy-pole sticks, pencils, etc. How many have you used?
Make another triangle. How many sticks are there now?
Make three more triangles and record the number of sticks. Can you find a pattern? How many sticks would be needed for 10 triangles? Record your working and answer on paper.
Roll two dice together. Choose the largest number rolled. Cover this dice and keep the number in your head. Add the second dice, counting on from the larger number that you have in your head. Challenge - Can you add more than two dice together? What strategy did you use?
Use the link above to use virtual dice if you don't have dice at home.
