Many of the resources provided here come directly from the National Center for Pyramid Model Innovations (NCPMI). The National Center for Pyramid Model Innovations (NCPMI) is funded by the Office of Special Education Programs to improve and support the capacity of state systems and local programs to implement an early childhood multi-tiered system of support to improve the social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes of young children with, and at-risk for, developmental disabilities or delays.

NEW! Exploring the Pyramid Model Framework Virtual Work Series

The Pyramid Model Framework (PMF) is an evidence-based framework that addresses the social-emotional needs of young children by providing teachers, caregivers and families with coaching, tools and strategies to promote and support positive behavior. Over 35 Early Childhood Programs, Child Care Centers and School Districts state-wide are currently using the PMF to reduce challenging behavior and support strong social-emotional skill development. In this multi-part series, you are provided with information, tools and resources to help you begin to explore the PMF, decide if it is a good fit for your program and consider program-wide implementation.

Program administrators, teachers, early childhood providers, caregivers, families, and community partners


How long does this series take to complete?

The 3 modules are about 15 – 20 minutes each of learning time and can be completed at your own pace. Each module of the series includes activities that can be done individually or with members of a team. It is important to know that this series is intended to be an entry point to exploring the PMF. Being “ready to implement” the PMF may take additional time and support. The final module of the series provides you with resources and places you can go to access additional information and supports.
