Practice-based Coaching (PBC) is a research-based coaching framework for supporting early childhood practitioners’ use evidence-informed teaching practices. In this eModule you will explore why coaching has become a popular professional development support, what exactly Practice-based Coaching is, and how PBC can be delivered to support implementation of effective practices.
This course will:
· Introduce the Practice-based Coaching model
· Describe characteristics of collaborative partnerships
· Identify practices that are the focus of Practice-based Coaching
· Identify key features of and practice goal setting and action planning
· Identify key features of and practice focused observation
· Identify key features of and practice supporting reflection and providing feedback

This training will introduce a systems level approach to support leadership teams in preparing for practice-based coaching. Implementing Practice Based Coaching Video
Practice-Based Coaching requires program-level planning and systematic implementation. In a case study, an implementation team from the Community Partnership for Child Development (CPCD) program in Colorado Springs, CO attended a Practice-Based Coaching Implementation Academy. In this video, CPCD staff share how their program is planning for and implementing PBC. Program stakeholders also discuss their roles in and views of the coaching activities.

This screener was developed for a program’s PBC Implementation Team to use as they review their current and future implementation of pbc.
