The fourth king made District Development Committees (Dzongkhag Yargay Tshogchung) in 1981, where local leaders decide what projects and resources are needed in their areas.
He also set up Block Development Committees (Gewog Yargay Tshogchungs) in 1991 to manage local governance and planning, giving rural communities a say in their development.

Unlike most modern leaders who stay away from the battlefield, His Majesty personally led the charge alongside his soldiers.
Despite facing such formidable adversaries, the Bhutanese soldiers drew inspiration from His Majesty and fought with enthusiasm and sacrifice, ultimately achieving victory.
