An example of a body paragraph 

The sky was full of color, with bright reds and oranges that faded into soft pinks and purples. The clouds were gold and silver, and they floated across the sky like thin smoke. The sun was a big orange ball, and it was slowly setting below the horizon. The sun's golden light shone on the ocean and the sand. 

• Each paragraph should focus on one thing you want to describe. For example, you could write one paragraph about the colours of a sunset, another paragraph about the way the waves crash on the shore, and another paragraph about the feeling of sand between your toes.

• Use words that help the reader see, hear, smell, taste, and feel what you are describing. For example, instead of saying "The beach was beautiful," you could say "The white sand beach was soft and warm under my feet, and the turquoise water smelled like salt."

• Be specific and concrete in your descriptions. Instead of saying "The ocean was big," you could say "The ocean stretched out as far as the eye could see, and the waves were crashing against the shore with a thunderous roar."

• Use creative language to make your descriptions more interesting. For example, you could say "The clouds danced across the sky like wisps of smoke" or "The sun was a fiery orb of orange sinking below the horizon."

• Organize your paragraphs in a way that makes sense. For example, you could write your paragraphs in the order in which you experienced the things you are describing, or you could write them from most important to least important.

• Use words like "next," "in addition," and "finally" to help the reader follow along as you move from one paragraph to the next.
