Education Scotland is the Government body which provides guidance and examples of best practice in curriculum for the Broad General Education and the Senior Phase.
Currently in Scotland, the Senior Phase Curriculum is driven mainly by the Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA), who provide a variety of courses and qualifications to suit the needs of learners. The qualifications on offer at Rosehill High School reflect the needs and aspirations of our learners. The current offer can be viewed in the Senior Phase Pathways booklet, which is updated annually in line with course choice.

Every school in East Lothian is required to produce a curriculum rationale, which outlines the thinking behind their curriculum offer. Our will be maintained for session 25-26, during which we will be reviewing both within school. You can read them here:

Rosehill Curriculum Evenings
At Rosehill we share information on the curriculum and its progression on a regular basis with our school community, to include young people, parents and carers, and relevant partners.
Please look out for these Curriculum Evenings in our parent communications.
