Young people who live in our catchment are automatically awarded a place at Rosehill. Almost a quarter of our pupils live out of catchment, meaning that parents have chosen to send their children to Rosehill instead of their local school.
Due to a rapidly expanding local population, we currently have very limited spaces for out of catchment placing requests.
P7 requests for transition into S1 are dealt with centrally. You can find out more here: East Lothian Council Placing Requests
Placing requests should come via our admin team in the first instance admin@rosehill.elcschool.ork.uk . Please ensure that you include your child's full name, date of birth, year group, and current school. You should also confirm your relationship with them, and that you hold the relevant parental rights to make this decision.
If an out of catchment place is available in your child's year group, you will be asked to complete appropriate transition information and to attend an enrolment meeting. We will also contact your child's current school to find out more about them and the reasons for the requested move.
