Pupil Voice Updates

October 2026

We have continued our popular 5 a day programme with young people this year and, during quadrant 1, have run multiple interviews and focus groups on the subject of:

• P7/S1 Transition (we are using this data with our Assoviated School Group to continue to improve our practice)

• BGE/ Senior Phase Transtion (this data reflects the work we are doing around sthe need for stretch in the BGE and our commitment to cxore, extension and support activies across all classes)

• Senior Phase Level 6 learners (this data links into out Everyone Owns Attainment Plan to continue to build on our qualifications)

Our PLT has supported mutliple school events and the feedback on their leadership and commitment around these has been commended through parent evaluations. They have now developed a calendar of PLT community events, with the first of these being a Fright Night for Hallwe'en. 

August 2026

We are delighted that we have our Pupil Leadership Team in place for the coming session. Our PLT Coordinators have introduced themselves in our assemblies, and PLT members are easily recognisable via their yellow PLT badges. They have begun planning for a series of events this year based on the theme of building community.

Michelle Yeoman and Zack Williams recently took part in Mentors for Violence Prevention training, and will be looking for pupil volunteers to support the introduction of this programme.

Thank you to the young people involved in our recent recruitment for posts in Languages and Literacy, who provided feedback on lessons undertaken as part of the interview process.

We are currently undertaking a wellbeing and safeguarding survey with all pupils, to understand where things are going well and any areas where we need to improve.
