Equipment Hire

Equipment can be borrowed or hired from Outdoor Learning by ELC staff/ groups/ schools.  All ELC groups working with ELC young people can borrow equipment for free.  Borrowers must hold the relevant experience or qualifications if needed.

Commercial Rate - £112.00 +VAT per day (9am – 4pm)

The organisation must have insurance to cover the hire of the building

Classroom & Indoor Facilities – In the event of cancellation, the following rates will apply:

12 – 8 weeks before your arrival  –  25% of the fee is due

8 – 4 weeks before your arrival  –  50% of the fee is due

4 – 2 weeks before your arrival  –  80% of the fee is due

2 weeks before your arrival  –  100% of the fee is due

Indoor Climbing Wall (9am – 6pm, Mon to Fri, Term time only)

Non-ELC Schools & Community Groups £16 per hour +VAT

Equipment (rock climbing shoes, harness & belay plate) £10.70 per person per hire +VAT

Outdoor Learning Instructor 

Instructor per Day

Non-ELC Schools & Community Groups £253 +VAT

ELC Schools & Community Groups (VAT n/a) £220 per day

Instructor per Overnight

Non-ELC Schools & Community Groups £126.50 +VAT

ELC Schools & Community Groups (VAT n/a) £110

In the event of cancellation, the following rates will apply:

Teacher per 1/2 Day

In the event of cancellation, the following rates will apply:

Minibus Hire

Mini Bus Hire – Full Day (ELC only) £43.50 plus fuel @ 28p per km (only internal to ELC)

Mini Bus Hire – Half Day (ELC only) £22.50 plus fuel @ 28p per km (only internal to ELC)

Minibus Hire – In the event of cancellation, the following rates will apply:

Within one week of hire  –  100% of the fee is due

All prices are valid from 1st April 2024 up to 31st March 2025
(after this date, charges may increase)
