There are events, festivals and competitions organised for schools across East Lothian and some are Nationwide. Listed here are events that we can supported.

East Lothian Schools' Orienteering Competition - FREE ENTRY

This competition is open to all pupils across East Lothian from P5 up to S6.

Wednesday 4th March 2026 - Outdoor Learning Service, Musselburgh

Brief details of event:

• Registration point along with toilets/changing facilities at Outdoor Learning Base - Musselburgh

• On the field next to registration there will be a variety of staffed and unstaffed orienteering warm-up activities. This is also where shelters will be placed to act as bag drop and meeting points.

• There will be a taped route to the Start and from the Finish to/from registration

• Approximate lengths of courses:
  P5/6 – 1km
  P7 –  2km
  S1 –  3km
  S2/3 – 4km
  S4-6 – 5km
