Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS)

Aimed at those requiring accreditation to drive a minibus. MiDAS is applicable to any organisation operating or using minibuses. Further Info

Pre-requisites

• Current, valid UK driving licence with D1 entitlement

Course Details:

Theory Assessment 

Online - 3 hours to be completed no less than 1 week prior to  practical assessment.

Practical Assessment

You MUST bring to ELC Outdoor Learning Service:

• Your current driving licence showing D1 entitlement

• Your National Insurance number

Assessment outline

• 45 minutes to include review of theory and walk round check

• 45 minutes assessed drive

  • if unsuccessful a further driving assessment can be booked for £80

Minibus (D1) Driver Training 

Aimed at those requiring additional practice prior to taking groups in a minibus. 

Pre-requisites

• Current, valid UK driving licence showing D1 entitlement (this may be provisional)

• Apply for provisional bus licence (D2/D4 pack) here if you do not already have one

Course Details:

Minimum  of 3 hours practical driving and tailored instruction for up to 2 drivers at a time.

You MUST bring with you:

• Your current driving licence showing D1 entitlement

• Your National Insurance number
