Our courses and qualifications are aimed at providing you with both personal and leadership skills to help develop your confidence and competence in Scotland’s lowlands, moors, hills and mountains.
As an approved Mountain Training provider our courses are moderated to the national scheme syllabus and standards.

The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions.

Course Overview
The Camping Leader is an optional module available to walking leaders. It’s an opportunity to increase your skills where you will be trained and assessed to lead groups on multi-day camping expeditions.

Course Overview
A Winter Mountain Hill Skills course is your key to getting started in higher terrain during colder conditions. Whilst no previous winter mountain skills experience in necessary a basic level of fitness is required to fully participate. Skills explored may include kicking steps, walking in crampons, group management, using an ice axe, belaying and anchors, snow shelters, using transceivers & avalanche rescue.

An opportunity for professionals and volunteers with appropriate Outdoor Qualifications to undertake a professional update.
