📖 Bio : Originally from a small island in Okinawa, Yomo studied instructional design and media communication at Waseda University in Tokyo, where she first discovered the IB program. She later specialized in education for globally mobile children and second-language acquisition at Tokyo Gakugei University and is certified through the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test.
Before joining the International School, she taught media communication at university level and Japanese literature in high school. She now teaches Japanese across all levels, from IB courses to mother tongue programs and Japanese as a second language for learners of all ages.
Yomo is passionate about sharing Japanese culture—from pop culture to literature—and tailors her teaching materials to keep students engaged and motivated.

This course is for those who have been away from Japanese for a while, have forgotten some of it, but want to improve! Starting from the point where you can read hiragana and katakana, and know just a few kanji, let's slowly take on the challenge of reading Japanese literature.
