Our strength lies in the quality of our teachers and the diversity of languages offered across our campuses.
The WLP currently offers tutorials in 30 different languages and is dedicated to serving the needs of the international community. Our team is happy to explore the possibility of offering classes in additional languages upon request, ensuring every learner can pursue their language goals.
Our courses are offered in three different locations. Click on the site of your choice to discover the languages and teachers available at each campus.
Languages are taught on campus outside the regular curriculum, from Early Years through to IB level. Our programme is open to all learners wishing to develop or strengthen their language skills in a dynamic, international environment.
IB Examination - For IB Diploma students only
This pathway supports students in Years 12 and 13 who wish to prepare for the IB examination in Language A or Language B. Courses are individually designed to align with each student’s academic schedule. Assessments are included in formal academic reports.
Language A (literature-based) may be taken as a self-taught option. Where possible, the school will arrange a tutor to guide and support the student throughout the programme.
Language B (language acquisition) requires the support of a qualified tutor and cannot be self-taught.
Non-Examination Pathway -Open to learners from Years 1 to 13, adults and external participants. Reception students may may take language classes with the principal's approval.
This flexible option focuses on language development without the pressure of formal IB examinations. Regular assessments and feedback ensure clear progress. The Teacher or Coordinator confirms schedules and lesson venues.
Certification
Where relevant, teaching connects with internationally recognised academic frameworks while prioritising the development of strong linguistic and communication skills.
Students studying French or Spanish may prepare for internationally recognised certifications such as DELF, DALF, or DELE, depending on their level. At LGB, students studying German may also prepare for the Goethe Certificate, while students studying Greek have the opportunity to work towards the Certification of Attainment in Greek.
Our teachers are always available to advise families and help identify the most suitable pathway for each learner.
