Dress Code and Cellphone/Electronics/headphones!!!!!!!!
We need your support! Liberty offers one of the most flexible free dress codes in the city, but it’s important that we all adhere to the existing restrictions. Additionally, we ask for your help in ensuring that our policies on cellphones, electronics, and headphones are followed.
Please take a moment to review the policies in place. Your cooperation is essential to maintaining a positive school environment. Thank you for your understanding and support!
Updated Organizational Chart and Contact List
Please review the two charts provided. They outline who to contact based on specific situations, helping us address concerns more efficiently and effectively.
Following this communication flow will ensure quicker resolutions and help everyone stay informed.
A tardy is recorded any time a student is not in class by its official start time (at the start of school and during regular class changes). Late arrivals to school by student drivers or carpool do count into a student's tardy record. Student tardies accumulate throughout the full semester and consequences begin after the 3rd tardy.
Carpool starts at 6:40! Parents are not allowed to drop off before this. Wait for Mr. Shoff to start releasing for Carpool. Also, parents are not allowed to go down the lane that is reserved for student parking as indicated by the green arrows. That lane is reserved for students so they can drive into the student parking lot to park. Also, going up Pickett to try to get into the parking lot is NOT allowed at any time.
At the end of the school day during carpool, we've noticed some parents parking on the grass along LEE Drive and having their children walk to their cars. This practice is not only against school policy but also poses significant safety risks. For the safety of all students and to ensure smooth traffic flow, please refrain from parking on the grass and use the designated carpool lanes. Your cooperation is crucial in keeping our school environment safe for everyone.
From our Counselors:
We hope your school year is off to a fantastic start!
Just a friendly reminder: There is no need to email your counselor since no new schedule changes will be made at this time.
Schedule changes will only be considered for the following reasons:
You are missing a class required for graduation
Thank you for your understanding, and let’s make it a great year!
Instructional Spotlight: Pushing Toward the Mission
Mr. Williamson, our English IV teacher, recognized that his students needed additional writing support on their previous paragraphs. To address this, students participated in a gallery walk to score sample paragraphs using evidence from the rubric. They then used the rubric, sentence stems, and teacher feedback to revise their original writing, strengthening their claims and commentary.
Ms. Gonzales, our Physical Science teacher, had her students draw and label different atoms, then exchange peer feedback to evaluate the accuracy of their work.
