Dia De Los Muertos Celebration
Our Hispanic Heritage Month Planning Committee has organized a week of engaging lunch activities to celebrate and educate students about Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). These student-led events build on the beautiful ofrenda tradition that Ms. Short and Ms. Gyorgy has continued in the Library each year.
Students can participate in arts and crafts, musical chairs with Spanish music, face painting, and a tic-tac-toe game featuring skulls and marigolds. Each activity is designed to help students learn more about the cultural significance of honoring and remembering loved ones who have passed.
A huge thank you to the student committee and Ms. Davis-Hellmers for planning these events.

Ms. Holloway's Biology Class!
Ms. Holloway’s class stepped into the role of scientific investigators last week! Students explored how environmental conditions—like climate—affect the rate and flow of energy and matter.
Using hands-on lab skills, they carefully collected data with digital scales, beakers, and graduated cylinders, then analyzed their results to answer a fascinating question: “How does organic matter decompose in cold places like the Arctic?”
From precise measurements to data-driven conclusions, Liberty Patriots are building the skills that prepare them for real-world science and future careers in STEM!
Mrs. Murphy's Biology II DE Class!
🧬 Mrs. Murphy’s Biology II DE Class! 🧪
Students in Mrs. Murphy’s Biology II DE classes took on the role of professors for the day, teaching their peers about the stages and key components of cell division!
It was a fun and engaging way to reinforce their understanding while building confidence in presenting complex biological concepts. Great job, future scientists! 🔬👏

From helping teachers with lessons, to offering students a safe and welcoming space at lunch, she creates a warm environment that feels like home. If Liberty were a house, the library would be the living room—and Mrs. Short makes sure it’s full of comfort, care, and kindness.

Updated Organizational Chart and Contact List
Please review the two charts provided. They outline who to contact based on specific situations, helping us address concerns more efficiently and effectively.
Following this communication flow will ensure quicker resolutions and help everyone stay informed.
A tardy is recorded any time a student is not in class by its official start time (at the start of school and during regular class changes). Late arrivals to school by student drivers or carpool do count into a student's tardy record. Student tardies accumulate throughout the full semester and consequences begin after the 3rd tardy.
Carpool starts at 6:40! Parents are not allowed to drop off before this. Wait for Mr. Shoff to start releasing for Carpool. Also, parents are not allowed to go down the lane that is reserved for student parking as indicated by the green arrows. That lane is reserved for students so they can drive into the student parking lot to park. Also, going up Pickett to try to get into the parking lot is NOT allowed at any time.
At the end of the school day during carpool, we've noticed some parents parking on the grass along LEE Drive and having their children walk to their cars. This practice is not only against school policy but also poses significant safety risks. For the safety of all students and to ensure smooth traffic flow, please refrain from parking on the grass and use the designated carpool lanes. Your cooperation is crucial in keeping our school environment safe for everyone.
Check-in/Check Out Policy Reminders
Parents cannot email or call the office after dropping the student off late to school
Students will wait in TOR until a parent comes to sign them in.
Student drivers who arrive late may have a parent email the office. Student driver must have an approved parking contract on file.
Student drivers will have driving privileges suspended upon their 3rd late arrival in the semester.
