ECC TECH WARS FIELD TRIP INFORMATION
Where: ECC Burt Flickinger Athletic Center
When: May 20, 2025. We will be out of the building from 9am-2pm
Time: We will meet at 8:50 am in the STEAM LAB with all materials and supplies for the event! You may bring water and snacks/lunches with you to the event!
Lunch: The event will provide a water and personal pizza for each student. I would encourage you to bring something to snack on while we are there. They do have vending machines that accept $1 and $5 dollar bills.
At the Event: During the event you will be competing in your chosen event with the project you created and exploring the various project on display. At all time you must be with another EAMS student! When the event is over will will load the bus and head home where you can take part in the rest of the day.
TECH CLUB INFORMATION
The East Aurora Middle School Tech Club provides students with the opportunity to design, build, and compete in exciting STEM challenges. We'll be preparing for the TECH WARS competition by creating projects like air skimmer cars, mousetrap cars, and bridges.
Meeting dates/times: Interest meeting will be held March 20th in room 114 during ELT. We will have optional meetings Tuesdays during ELT starting April 1st, for students selected for the club. I will send an email to students to remind them of upcoming meetings. If students need more/separate time to complete their projects they will need to use ELT times that I am available, checking my availability on the website HOME page.
Tech Wars will be May 20th, 2025. This is a full day event where students will need to be in good academic/behavior standing for them to take the day from school to participate in the competition. Information on challenges we will be participating in are below. Students will only be able to choose ONE! Groups of 2 are allowed.
Sign-up - Students interested in the club should review the information with a parent or guardian and complete the Google Form below! Please remember that this is a limited club and not all students will be able to participate!
