During Fire Alarms we will walk to the front parking lot being masked and socially distanced. There should be no talking, we need to be able to hear directions over the intercom.
During a lock down drill students are expected to sit quietly out of site of the windows and wait for instructions.
Students will need to create a Securly digital pass to go to the bathroom/water fountain/locker/Main Office!
Be Respectful by treating classmates, teachers/adults, and equipment with care and respect.
Be an active participant and follow instructions!
Come prepared for class with a charged Chromebook, agenda, pencil, headphones, optional mouse. (The optical mouse is optional)
Clean up your workspace at the end of class and put items away or in your bin!
Stay focused, participate, and use class time wisely. I dismiss you... not the bell!
Avoid distractions like games or other people! NO Earbuds allowed in the classroom unless using to watch a video pertaining to content.

Students’ grades will be based on the following:
Any assignment not turned in 1 week past the due date will be considered a 0!
There is no Homework in this class, students should be using their class time effectively to complete all tasks!
Projects and Assignments: Students are expected to complete all projects and assignments on time.
Tests and Quizzes: Students must prepare for and complete tests and quizzes on the scheduled dates.
Participation and Effort: This is a HEAVILY graded topic! Active participation in class activities and consistent effort on projects are key components of success.
Rubrics: Projects will be graded using detailed rubrics that outline the expectations for each assignment and are always provided BEFORE the due date.
Wear Safety Gear: Always wear safety glasses to protect your eyes. Use gloves or ear protection if instructed.
Dress Properly: Tie back long hair, wear closed-toe shoes, and avoid loose clothing or jewelry that could get caught in machines. No open toed shoe in the workshop area! Crocs are OK...
Stay Focused: Pay attention to your work and avoid distractions. Never play or run in the workshop. NO Earbuds allowed in the classroom unless using to watch a video.
Ask Before You Act: Do not use any tool or machine without permission and proper training from the teacher.
Use Tools Safely: Always hold and operate tools as instructed. Never use a tool for something it’s not designed to do.
Be Mindful of Others: Stay aware of your surroundings and give classmates space while they work.
Turn Off and Unplug: When finished with a machine, turn it off and wait for it to stop moving completely before walking away.
Keep It Clean: Clean up your workspace and put tools away after you’re done to keep the area safe.
Report Problems: Tell the teacher immediately if a tool, machine, or piece of equipment isn’t working properly or is damaged.
Know Emergency Procedures: Learn where the emergency stop buttons, first aid kit, and fire extinguisher are located.
Clothing: Make sure your clothing is snug, and sleeves are rolled up if necessary.
Shoes: Wear closed-toe, non-slip shoes to protect your feet.
Hair: Secure long hair with a tie or clip to keep it out of the way.
Safety Glasses: Put on your safety glasses before using any tool or machine. You can bring your own!
Workspace Check: Make sure your work area is clear of clutter and tools are in good condition.
Focus: Take a moment to think about the task ahead and make sure you feel comfortable asking for help if you’re unsure.
