The Up and Over Challenge
The Up and Over Challenge
Before we start building robots, we'll complete a research activity exploring what robots look like today and how they impact our world. How do robots affect our daily lives, and what might they be able to do in the future?
This is an assignment in Google Classrooms!
Objective: Get ready to build and battle! The Up and Over Challenge asks you to design and build a robot that can pick up cubes and move them over a wall. You'll learn how to make a strong claw and arm, use motor groups to power your robot, and even figure out the best driver on your team using data. Then, you'll compete with your robot against other teams in 2-minute matches where every group member gets a chance to drive. The goal is to score the most points by moving cubes. This project will test your engineering skills and teamwork, and you'll get to see how real-world engineers solve problems.
Constraints:
Each group will get 2 min to drive the robot against another team.
There should be no touching the robot or cubes when testing!
Cubes must go over the center divider!
Follow the link below to build the Clawbot. This should be built carefully and precisely.
