Challenge: Design, build, and customize your own tabletop Hook and Ring Game that allows for single-player use. Your goal is to create a game that is both functional and personalized. Once built, you'll test your skill by setting a personal best for most successful hooks in 10 tries!
Design Constraints:
The base must be no larger than 10" x 10" to fit on a tabletop.
A vertical support must be used to hold the hook at least 12 inches above the base.
The hook and ring must be placed so that the ring swings freely from a string attached to the top arm.
Only wood, screws, string, and a metal hook and ring may be used (school-provided materials).
You must include at least two personal design customizations (e.g., engraving, painting, shape, or branding/logo).
The structure must be stable and safe for repeated play.
Bonus Challenges (must pick 1)
Create a multiplayer version.
Create and name your own scoring system.
Design a "trick shot" challenge and document how to complete it.
Add a removable or adjustable feature (ex: moveable hook height or swing angle).
