IDEA Team technicians will make every effort possible to maintain existing clocks before making a full replacement recommendation. There are two options available for replacing nonfunctional time clocks across the district.
Option A: A low-cost option that utilizes existing district resources by incorporating an iPad.
Option B: An updated version of the existing time clock.
The major difference between the two is that Option A requires users to manually enter username/password to clock in/out while Option B allows for users to swipe their employee badge.
The purchase process for each option differs. Please refer to the information below.
This is a kit consisting of an iPad, Armodilo brand Keyo wall-mount, and network/power adapter. Users must manually enter their username/password in order to clock in/out.
The IDEA Team/Department of Technology keeps a limited amount of these kits in stock and will be delivered/installed upon the issuance of a purchase requisition to DISD TECHNOLOGY IDEA HUB for $400.
This is a traditional-style time clock giving a staff member the ability to swipe his or her employee badge to clock in/out. If this option is selected, a quote will have to be generated by the IDEA Team/Department of Technology for purchase. The estimated cost of this option is $3500 and requires several weeks to procure, process, and install.
When a time clock experiences a technical issue, submit a ticket in Incident IQ. A technician will evaluate the issue and resolve it if possible.
If the reported issue is unresolvable, the technician will respond through the ticket and you will be directed to this page to make a choice between the two options listed above.
You will respond through the ticket by selecting either Option A or B as described above.
Option A: we will issue an invoice to you via IIQ to submit a purchase requisition to DISD TECHNOLOGY IDEA HUB. Once we process the requisition, our team will bring out a unit to be installed. There may be slight delays as we coordinate with Maintenance to have the new time clock mounted.
Option B: we will request a quote from the time clock vendor and attach it to ticket when it is received. You will then follow the usual purchasing process for technology items. There may be additional delays as we coordinate with Maintenance to have the new time clock mounted.
Once the time clock has been replaced, a technician will close the ticket.
