Google Lit Trips uses Google Earth to take students on the journeys of characters from well known literature. Along the journey pop-ups will appear to help engage the student on their journey through the book.
Example Activities: (activities acquired from www.edtechnut.com)
Have the students explore the path taken by a character prior/during/after reading a book.
Have students create and submit a Google Lit Trip based on a book they have read.
Hike up Mt. Everest and explore the various points along the trail.
Example Activities: (activities acquired from www.edtechnut.com)
Have the students “travel” up the mountain and create a mock journal of their trip. Have them describe the scenery (sight, sounds, smells), the clothes they wearing, food they eating, etc.
Have students view 2nd helicopter ride between the Ankala and Kharte ridges, near Lukla; View 9th helicopter ride of Khumbu “Ice River.” Have students compare and contrast the two locations on the same mountain.
