ActivInspire: Add Links & Media

Bring flipcharts to life by incorporating video and other media content into your lesson. Learn how to create and embed various types of multimedia files into flipcharts using the wide range of multimedia settings and properties that ActivInspire offers.

Bringing_Flipcharts_to_Life.flipchart

Download flipchart by clicking on the title of the flipchart. (be sure pop-up blockers are allowed for google sites)
Then select the download button.
Use the flipchart to practice adding links and other media to flipcharts.

What is Multimedia?

Insert Links

From menu bar choose: Insert > Link

There are a few options:

- - - File
    - Website
    - Embedded HTML

Insert a Link to a File

From menu bar choose: Insert > Link > File

Options on how to insert:

- - - Text
    - Image Icon
    - Action Object
    - Existing Object

Choose to Sore as....

- - - Store file externally (creates a link to a file on a specific computer)
    - Store file in flipchart (embeds file within the flipchart)
    - Store file + directory in flipchart (embeds file within directory and flipchart)

Multimedia Playing Options...

- - - Autoplay - video begins playing when the flipchart page opens
    - Loop - video plays continuously
    - Controller - video starts and stops when you activate it

Insert a Link to a Website

From menu bar choose: Insert > Link > Website

Options on how to insert:

- - - Text
    - Image Icon
    - Action Object
    - Existing Object

Inserting a Link to an Embedded HTML

Navigate to the YouTube video.
Click SHARE.
Choose EMBED.
Copy HTML code.

From the menu bar in ActivInspire choose: Insert > Link > Embedded HTML

For YouTube videos only, be sure to remove the "s" on https: as indicated in the image on the left.

Inserting Placeholders on uploaded video

From menu bar choose: Insert > Link > File
