How to Organize Your Book Marks in the Google Chrome Browser
What does your BookMark bar look like on your Chrome browser? Do you have a bunch of links to websites or a mixture of folders and links to websites? Are you having trouble finding your links or have to go to the DPS website to access links to websites? Here's what my bookmark bar looks like on my Chrome browser.
I sort all of my bookmarks into one of five folders: Work Websites, Google Apps, EdTech, Tech, Cheryl, and Action Items. I use the action items folder to store links for current projects. In the folders with a lot of links, like the work websites folder, I go in and alphabetize the websites every once in a while. I rarely go to the DPS website to access a link. It is so much more efficent to click on my folder on my browser to access websites. Here's a screenshot of my Work Websites folder:
In this image, I clicked on my Work Website folder so that you can see a few of my links. Once you put the links into the folder, you can drag and drop them to alphabetize.
Directions to Set Up Bookmark Folders
Click the 3 vertical dots to the right of your profile picture.
Hover over BookMarks and a menu opens up on the left.
Click BookMark Manager.
You will now be able to see all the folders and files you have in the Bookmark Manager.
You can add folders by clicking the three vertical dots on the far right in the blue Bookmarks box.
You can open folders to move the links from one folder or alphabetize the links in a folder.
I go in every six months or so to alphabetize any links that need to be moved.
