How to Create a Video Using Your MacBook Air
There are several ways you can use your MacBook Air to create videos, including QuickTime Player, Photo Booth, Google Meet, and PowerPoint:
QuickTime Player
This app comes pre-installed on every Mac and can be used to record video using the built-in camera or your screen:
Open QuickTime Player (It is in your Applications List).
Select File > New Movie Recording to record video with the camera, or File > New Screen Recording to record your screen
Click Record to start recording, and Stop when you're done
Select File > Save to save and name your recording
Photo Booth
You can use the Record Video button in the Photo Booth app to record a video
Google Meet
You can use Google Meet to record a presentation by opening the presentation in Google Meet, selecting the first slide, and beginning your presentation.
PowerPoint
You can use PowerPoint to convert a Google Slides deck into a video. You can export your Google Slides presentation as a PPTX file and then use PowerPoint’s built-in “Create a Video” feature. This method offers advanced control over video quality and resolution, making it suitable for professional presentations.
Open the Google Slides file and: Download as > Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx)
Launch PowerPoint app and open the Google Slides.pptx file.
In the File Top Tab, choose Export then choose create a video.
Select the desired video quality and resolution.
Record narration if desired. (Click record narration to add your narration.)
Save. Click create video and choose your preferred saving location.
