Topic: Political Instability in the Sahel Region
In this African Union (AU) committee, delegates will aim to find solutions to long-standing issues in the Sahel region such as corruption, government ineffectiveness, and insurgency, and develop methods and frameworks for the African Union to support the Sahel region's governments and combat the factors that lead to instability.

Ashlyn McBride is Junior, and this is her second year in Model UN, she wants to be a prosecutor when she grows up and has always loved learned about international relations, so model UN is the perfect fit. Outside of school Ashlyn spends most of her time making all types of art her favorite is painting, baking, or designing logos for all sorts of jobs and business.

Sohum is a junior and has been in MUN for three years. He enjoys Model UN because of his interest in geopolitics and diplomacy. He will be chairing the African Union committee at d.MUN III. Outside of MUN, he also enjoys swimming and architecture.
