The Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee will talk about the challenges faced by women and gender minorities in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) field today. Even though current global efforts have been made, biases, unequal educational opportunities, and discrimination in the workplace further contribute to these struggles. During committee sessions, d.mun delegates will address the social and cultural parts of this issue and discuss how these parts impact global representation and equal participation in STEM.
