Beginner GA - UNEP: Global Plastic Waste
In this committee, we will debate how best to reduce the impact of political and armed conflict on sites of cultural, historical, and natural significance around the world. Delegates will discuss methods of classification of these sites as well as the protection of and access to them during conflicts. We're excited to discuss this with delegates who want to debate a current and relevant topic.
Beginner GA - AI: Ethical Progression of AI
This GA is focused on the ethics of Artificial Intelligence. AI offers great opportunities for the world, such as improving medical diagnoses, creating personalized learning in education, and optimizing transportation systems, but at what cost? AI consumes a significant amount of natural resources and has also had various consequences for its users, including reduced attention spans and weakened critical thinking skills. Delegates will share their country’s views on the topic, the effects of AI in their country, and come together to figure out solutions, or even if we need a solution. We will also discuss the impacts of AI on education; whether integrating it into the teaching system is a risk worth taking.
Beginner GA - UNHRC: Protecting the Rights of Refugee and Immigrant Youth: Access to Safety, Education, and Healthcare.
The UNHRC committee will explore how nations can work together to ensure refugee and immigrant youth are treated fairly and given access to essential services, regardless of their legal status. Delegates will discuss how international law, funding, and cooperation can protect their rights and support their futures.
Beginner GA - African Union: Political Instability in the Sahel Region
In this African Union (AU) committee, delegates will aim to find solutions to long-standing issues in the Sahel region such as corruption, government ineffectiveness, and insurgency, and develop methods and frameworks for the African Union to support the Sahel region's governments and combat the factors that lead to instability.
Intermediate Specialized - HOR: Prohibition Era
This historical committee takes place back during the time of prohibition, in the 1920s. Concern over addicts and alcoholics led the country to pass an amendment banning the sale, consumption, or distribution of alcohol in the US. As a result, illegal bars called speakeasies have popped up, unsafe alcohol is being distributed, and gangs have grown powerful. Members of this committee will take on the role of members of the House of Representatives to come up with solutions to address these problems.

This historical committee is set in 1973 at the beginning of Nixon's second term following his reelection efforts. This committee is focused on tackling the resulting fallout of the Committee to Re-elect the President (CRP), the Watergate Scandal on Richard Nixon's presidency, and the ensuing chaos that followed in the Senate's impeachment trial of President Nixon.
Advanced Crisis - Hunger Games: Hunger Games (How to get favors from citizens/Capital Uprising)
This committee is set in the world of The Hunger Games, 75 years before the events of the first book. The districts have begun to rise up against the Capitol’s rule, sparking what will become known as the First Rebellion. As leaders from both the Capitol and the districts, delegates must navigate a world on the brink of collapse. This crisis will have live updates throughout the conference, challenging delegates to adapt quickly and think strategically.
Advanced Crisis - MARVEL: Avengers: Government Regulation of The Avengers
Tony Stark's experiment, Ultron, spiraled out of control and wreaked havoc on the Eastern European city of Sokovia. In the aftermath of the disaster, governments worldwide came together to propose the Sokovia Accords, a set of legal documents that grant the government control of the Avengers. This sparked a global debate: should powerful heroes be free to act of their own will, or should they be restricted by government oversight to ensure they don't overstep?
