About Me: 

I am so excited to be your student's 5th grade Reading and Language Arts teacher.  I love this age...watching the kiddos transform from elementary students into middle school students is so much fun!  I also have a passion for reading, writing and vocabulary, so I get to teach my favorite subjects to my favorite age group!

My professional training includes a Master of Science in Reading from Texas State University, and my teaching certificates include principal, reading specialist and English as a second language.  

My husband, Chris, and I have 3 grown children.  Corbin and my daughter-in-love, Brittany, live in Austin.  Tanner is a 1st Lieutenant  in the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Cavazos.  Our youngest, Logan, is pursuing a career as a police officer.  We have 3 dogs, Brynn, Grover and Pudding.  Spending time with my family is one of my greatest joys in life!

I am so lucky to be a member of the Walnut Springs Elementary School community and the 5th grade team.
