This project in AP Lit was to pick a song and analyze the literary devices that make it so great. I chose one of my personal favorite songs "Anesthesia" by Type O Negative. I chose this song because of three reasons. The first reason is that it is relatively appropriate for school, the second is that its a great song, and the third reason is that it is full of great symbolism, juxtaposition, and other literary devices in almost every line of the song.
