For production enterprise second semester we took our new small business serious and put real effort into researching our future products. We did real competitive market analysis, target audience research, and unit cost for each product. On the left is our idea development using a Venn diagram of ideas. I also did brand design to make sure I know what my brand is all about. After the research was done I got to work on creating original products with its own packaging so i can sell them to people at a market.
Unit cost is research to determine a good price for your product. it also includes research on competitors products and how much they are selling it for. Unit cost research ensures you have a reasonable price for your products that will encourage people to buy it. Unit cost research includes the prices of all your materials and the amount of labor you put in.
I made a total of 79 dollars during this market. I sold 2 different sets of coasters, which is where most of the money came from, and I sold 2 signs that said "Proud Drew Mom." What I would do differently at another market is to have more signs beccause they were very popular. I would have had more signs but the file corrupted on my computer so I would make sure I store it in google drive for safety next time. I would also put more time into creating the high quality coasts because they sell for a lot and are very popular.
