Art is what people do and/or make to express their imagination. People have different perceptions of art. Other subjects can relate to different subjects because of presentations. For example, if you are making a science presentation you could add different colors and it could be performance art. Art could also be used to paint art from historic events.
For this project, we created 3 different compositions. To create those 3 compositions we used the rule of thirds, focal points, dynamic and static compositions, and movement using lines. Each composition had the same shapes and lines, but were rearranged into a different order.
I learned what a one and two point perspective was and how to draw each perspective. The difficult part was trying to figure out the sizing of each item and trying to draw it. I enjoyed the finish product and adding the final details. You could use these perspectives in other drawings to and depth and movement to your artwork. Perspective drawing relates to other classes like math because of the measurements and engineering of the elements in the drawing.
People started to use abstraction in the early 1900s as a modernized way of expressing feelings and emotions while using different lines and shapes to create abstract art. Compared to abstraction in African cultures, abstraction in America and Europe had different color templates and cubism. Abstract art could be related to science or math because of the patterns and abstract thinking. Data could be used to create abstract art by using data that has been collected on the topic and how to make your abstract art appealing. I think that I would like to work in a more personally expressive way rather than expressing though data that was collected.
One thing that I learned that relates to other classes is the mandalas that we made that used elements and compounds to create them. This year we created Mandalas , a ChemVas typography, and we showed the linear perspective of our hallway. With these projects we used principles like repetition, movement, variety, and patterns. The elements of art that we did were shape, color, line, and texture. You could experiment with different possibility with planning by choosing different ideas and concepts to display in your final product . You could also experiment with the process of how to show the product by thinking outside of the box and making drafts to get the opinion of other people to get the best final product. This year we learned about Vincent Van Gough and how he used optical mixing.
The electron configuration mandalas integrated STEAM because we created the mandala used art supplies and we used Chemistry to research about our element.
The Mandala is used for meditation and to help lead people to the path of enlightenment. Mandalas symbolize the characteristics of different gods. The principle of designs that are used are patterns, balance, repetition, and variety. You could use a mandala to show an atom by used to different colors to show protons, neutrons, and electrons and do ring for the valence shells.
AI could be both beneficial and harmful to art. It could be harmful because it could take the jobs of the artist that are making different products. It could also be beneficial because it helps artist produce their products quicker. AI is also connected to technology and engineering because to create AI you need to program it using coding (technology), while to build an AI machine you need to make the actual machine (engineering).
Today in classes, we created a project contract for our upcoming project called, "Shaping Our World".
Today in classes, we completed our G.R.A.P.E.S chart on our specific civilizations (which was Ancient China). We also started to brainstorm our ideas on what we are doing to do for our play.
Today in classes, we finished brainstorming our ideas of the play. We started coming up with our characters and the main theme of the play. I improved in focusing on my part of my project.
Today in classes, we finished completed our Membean, then we continued to come with the theme of the play and the characters that would be in it.
Today in classes, we completed our Membean and had a workshop with John Doyle about characters and our play. We started to make our script for our play of Ancient Chinese civilization.
Through this time period, we filmed and edited our video to present at our PBL Showcase and to the class.
