During my 11th grade year, I challenged myself academically while staying deeply involved in extracurricular activities. I was enrolled in rigorous courses, including AP Pre-Calculus, AP Computer Science, AP U.S. History, and AP English Language and Composition, along with Biology. Each of these classes pushed me to think critically, manage my time effectively, and stay disciplined in my studies. AP Pre-Calculus strengthened my problem-solving skills, while AP Computer Science introduced me to logical thinking and coding. AP U.S. History and AP Lang enhanced my ability to analyze information, construct arguments, and communicate clearly—skills that are essential for success in both college and the medical field.
Balancing this demanding academic schedule with athletics required dedication and perseverance. As a member of both the track team and the cheerleading team, I had to learn how to manage my time efficiently and maintain my energy throughout long days. Track taught me endurance, mental toughness, and the importance of pushing past my limits, while cheerleading helped me develop teamwork, school spirit, and leadership skills.
Although it was not always easy, this experience taught me how to stay focused under pressure and remain committed to my goals. My 11th grade year shaped me into a more disciplined and well-rounded student, preparing me for the challenges of my senior year and beyond.
