About Me

Hi! My name is Avery Moreland. I am a graduating senior at Charles R. Drew Charter School Senior Academy. I have been enrolled in Drew since kindergarten, so I am a Drew baby. I am a student-athlete.

I have been involved in many different extracurricular school experiences. I am involved in two different sports, track and field, and cheer. I started track in 9th grade, where I ran the 4x200, 200, and 400, and I started cheer when I was in 8th grade.

In addition to my athletic pursuits, I have danced since I was 3, both competitively with Dancemakers of Atlanta and Synrgy Dance ATL Dance Studio, and at school as well.

I am also in the National Beta Club, DECA, Step Up, Book Buddies, and Mu Alpha Theta. In 2023 and 2024, at the National Beta Convention, I was a part of the Dance Large Group that won 3rd place in our category. In 2024, I also placed 3rd with my group in the Living Literature category.
