This is the series circuit we made. There is one pathway made out of aluminum, there is one lever, a battery, and a light.
his is the parallel circuit. We used the same materials but with more pathways.
Hovercraft
To represent Newton's three Laws of Motion, we made a hovercraft.
We started off with a big plank of wood. We cut the plank down to size and sanded it, in order to get the circular shape required. We’re cutting out a 5ft in diameter circle out of a plastic sheet. We are drilling a ¼ in hole in the middle of our wood plank and then wrapped duck tape around the perimeter of the plank. In order to cut circles 3 in the plastic we are going to make a stencil to make sure everything is evenly spaced out. To cut out the circles in the plastic sheet they used a ruler to cut out a smaller circle in the middle of the sheet. They used the circle stencil to cut out the small circles on the second largest circle. The next step is to trace a vacuum hole and cut it out. We used a 1in wide drill bit. We assembled the plastic sheet and wood plank together using screws. We screwed the plastic sheet in by turning it upside down and having the plastic sheet on the bottom . Pictures below!
