DPS Lava U-19 Lads Clinch the Division Title
The lads of DPS Lava had a triumphant win in the DSO U-19 Boys Cricket Tournament on 3rd October at their maiden ground. The players were Shikhar Jain, Harsh Kohale, Ekansh Lute, Vedik Bhagat, Sukanto Ghosh, Dhruv Singh, Atharv Thavakar, Pruthviraj Deshmukh, Samridh Ambasta, Pranav Saxena and Huzaif Khan.
The players had been phenomenal with this triumph, the lads displayed their skills in the event, reclaiming the top spot with a clear win.
With their exemplary performance, they clinched the Division Crown, played on 10th October.
Principal Madam congratulated the team and their coaches' efforts to make the school proud, and on behalf of the DPS Lava family wished them the best for their upcoming series.
DSO Dance- A Blend of Glamour and Dedication at DPS Lava
The Sports Dance Competition was organized by DSO in the Nakshatra Hall at DPS Lava on the 9th of October. It was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. It was a testament to the power of sports and the art of dance in nurturing both physical and artistic talents in the youth.
Insiya Ali of DPS Lava Shines in U-14 Sub-Junior Fencing
The 25th U-14 Sub-Junior State Championship held in Beed, Maharashtra from October 6 to 8, 2023, was a remarkable display of young athletic talent.A grade 7 student- Insiya Ali; her exceptional performance in the epee category earned her a well-deserved bronze medal. Her achievement at this event highlighted her dedication to the sport and showcased Beed's potential for producing promising fencers.
Insiya Ali's success was a source of pride for her and the local fencing community, and it's a testament to her skill and determination in the world of fencing, congratulations to the coach Mr Tanmay Sawarkar for his efforts.
Shaurya Sharma of DPS Lava Dazzles in DSO Division Fencing
In the thrilling DSO Division Fencing tournament held in Gondia from October 12th to 13th, young fencer Shaurya Sharma of grade 6 showcased remarkable skills and determination, securing a well-deserved bronze medal. His exceptional performance didn't just end there; it earned him a coveted spot in the upcoming state-level competition, where he will have the opportunity to prove his mettle on a larger stage.

Protect Your Castle: A Dynamic Physical Education Activity
"Protect Your Castle" -an exciting and interactive Physical Education activity was designed to promote teamwork, strategic thinking, and cardiovascular fitness among Grade 5 A students. This activity engaged participants in a lively game that challenged their agility, coordination, and communication skills. Through collaboration and effective decision-making, students worked together to defend their "castle" while also developing a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship.
The objectives of the activity were to enhance cardiovascular endurance and agility; foster teamwork, communication and cooperation, develop strategic thinking and decision-making abilities and promote a sense of fun and healthy competition.
Through this interactive game, students not only had fun but also developed important life skills that extend beyond the PE class.
DPS Lava Secures 3rd Place in Taekwondo Championship
The city's very first Mahanagar Taekwondo Championship was held at Swami Vivekanand Indoor stadium Sports Complex Ward Road Nagpur on 2nd October wherein Delhi Public School (DPS) Lava achieved 3rd place in the overall standings of around 400 active participations across the city. The students' remarkable performance, dedication, and hard work were commendable.
Coach Gaurav Bhende Sir's guidance and mentorship were pivotal in preparing the students for this prestigious event.
Congratulations to the students of DPS Lava for their outstanding achievements and their shining example for aspiring athletes and martial artists in the region.
Avani Garg, Namrata Chouhan, and Aaryak Deshmukh shine at 10th State Level Championship in Taekwondo
On 23 October, at the 10th State Level Championship hosted by the Stairs Foundation in Mumbai's Andheri Sports Complex, Avani Garg claimed the gold medal in her category. Meanwhile, Namrata Chouhan and Aaryak Deshmukh secured silver medals. Their impressive performances have secured their spots at the upcoming National Championships in the third week of December.
Avani Garg's exceptional skills earned her the top position in her category, while Namrata Chouhan and Aaryak Deshmukh displayed remarkable talent to clinch silver medals.
Their qualification for the National Championships marks a significant accomplishment, reflecting their dedication and hard work. The sports community and their supporters eagerly anticipate their performance at the national level.

Nagpur District Sub Junior Karate Championship 2023 was organized on 16th October at the DSO Mankapur Stadium.
Ravya Shah a student of Grade IV showed exemplary performance and bagged her gold and silver medals in the Kata and Kumite categories.
Principal Ms Anupama Sagdeo felicitated her on her achievement and wished her all the best for all further tournaments.
The 19th Karate Anniversary Cup 2023 was organized by the Traditional Martial Arts Karate Association, Nagpur on 24th September.
Sarthak Nerkar a student of Grade VI of DPS Lava had secured 3rd position in the tournament. His dedication and passion helped him pass the exam with flying colours and he was awarded the Red Belt.
The DPS Lava family is extremely delighted with his accomplishment and wishes him all the success.
DPS Lava's Parmi Pazare in the DSO Division Badminton
Parmi Pazare a student of Grade VIII of DPS Lava had participated in the recently conducted DSO Badminton U-17 Tournament at Mankapur Stadium and has qualified for DSO Division Badminton.
The DPS Lava family is proud of Parmi and Principal Madam congratulated her and wished her success!
Archer Parth Gautam enters in States with a thump
DSO had organized an Archery Divisional Level Tournament on 17th October at Gondia. Parth Gautam a student of Grade VII put up a marvellous show of his Archery skills and qualified for the State Level Competitions!

Swimmers Make A Mark at the Divisonals
DSO (Divisional Level) organized a Swimming Competition on 09th October at Shashkiya Sainik School, Ballarpur Road, Chandrapur. The swimmers of DPS Lava represented the school at Divisional Level under various age categories and events- Ved Pimpalkar-200 m freestyle, 400 m freestyle and 200 m backstroke, Aditri Payasi-50 m freestyle, 50 butterfly and 50 backstroke, Maryada Shanware- 50 m, 200 m breaststroke, Varad Pimpalkar-100 m backstroke.
The school is proud that Varad Pimpalkar has been selected for the State Level Competition.
