BLUE DAY
Friday October 6, 2023
The Pre-primary wing of DPS Lava celebrated Blue Day on the 6th of October 2023, immersing children into the captivating world of colours. Blue in its various shades, from deep navy to sky blue, filled the atmosphere, creating a sense of tranquillity and depth.
The colour Blue symbolizing calmness and wisdom was set as the tone for the day. The little ones came dressed in blue attire and were surrounded by blue balloons, blue toys, and blue artwork adorning the bulletin boards, crafted lovingly by dedicated teachers.
A special assembly highlighted the significance of the colour blue. Teachers engaged the children with stories, songs and dance, enhancing their understanding of the colour blue.
To further enrich their cognitive skills, students embarked on creative activities such as making aquatic animals by crafting and dabbing under the guidance of their teachers.
The Blue Day celebration embraced the idea that colours are indeed the smiles of nature. It not only introduced children to the world of colours but also reinforced cognitive skills, encouraging them to sort and classify objects based on colour while instilling values of calmness and wisdom.

Mazedar Mondays
Mondays are always exciting for the little Dipsites. The October Mondays were full of ethnic fun. In the first week, children brought colourful stoles and dupattas and wore them in different styles. The second Monday was turban day and the children carried colourful turbans on their little heads with elan. On the last Monday of the month, they collected dry leaves and added them to the compost pit in the school garden. This activity sensitised the children to the fact that dry leaves are the best manure for trees and plants.
