Trylle Trilogy by Amanda Hocking
Amanda Hocking, a young adult fiction author from the United States, began her writing journey at the tender age of 25. Her remarkable work the Trylle Trilogy, has quickly become my favorite. The Trylle Trilogy consists of three novels: 'Switched,' 'Torn,' and 'Ascend.' This trilogy is a captivating blend of fiction, paranormal elements, comedy and suspense. The first two books were published in 2010 and the third book came out in 2011.
The story unfolds with Wendy Everly, a 17-year-old girl who, at the age of 6, survived a mysterious murder attempt by her own mother. The truth behind this traumatic incident remains a mystery to Wendy, her brother Matt and her aunt Maggie. However, Wendy's life takes a dramatic turn when she meets Finn, a young man who reveals the existence of a hidden world, unbeknownst to her. Wendy's peculiar powers are a key to her true identity and a gateway to a world filled with new species, ranks and unimaginable powers. As Wendy embarks on her remarkable journey of self-discovery, she faces new challenges, enemies and an unfamiliar world.
The Trylle Trilogy keeps readers on the edge of their seats, with unexpected twists and turns that leave us wanting more. This series is a must-read for fiction enthusiasts and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
