The She-Devil
“Her eyes showed the world in flames.” - Unknown
Her thoughts were too loud,
Looming above her head, like angry clouds.
But they were hazy, never clear,
Though ignited, within people, a terrible sense of fear.
Her eyes held a noxious look,
Deadlier than any villain in a book.
It seemed they looked straight through your soul,
Unraveling your lies, with complete control.
She had seen a lot in her life,
People always deemed her as a strife.
She wasn’t afraid of anything,
She walked like she was the queen of everything.
People cowered just at her sight,
Her words haunted you at night.
She was their biggest horror,
Making everyone fall to their knees in terror.
She reminded everyone of their darkest days
And sent them back into their darkest phase.
She strived off their dread
And sought pleasure from the dead.
She was the one who made everyone tremble,
Because she was the She-Devil.

Hurt
Like a shot of whiskey that's like gold,
Her story in each drop is told.
Just like a broken glass in the hands,
Shattered hopes on which she stands.
Each piece has a beautiful tale to find,
Hiding them secretly in her mind.
Her sweetness rolled with hints of pain,
Enough with people, having her like a game.
Her river of tears that flows,
A swirl of emotions, only she knows.
Her smile drunk and cool,
Hiding the harsh truth, beautiful!!
Her mind roaming in confusion,
Hey, I’m the girl in delusion.

IT'S REeeVIEW TIME
Restaurant - Tao Kitchen
Location - Sita Kunj, Civil Lines
Review -
My mum's birthday.....was the auspicious occasion which took us to this vibrant restaurant. The unforgettable experience made us revisit the restaurant quite many times and the relishing food tempted us to order many dishes for home delivery. This pristine coin has two sides: an Indian kitchen and an Asian kitchen.
Best dishes from Indian kitchen:
Yogurt kebabs
Tulsi Palak Paneer
Best dishes from Asian kitchen:
Shiitetake mushroom ramen
Cucumber California sushi
Best dessert:
Melting Chocolate Cake
Cheesecake (if available, the last few times I visited it wasn’t available anymore)
The cosmopolitan ambience and mood of the restaurant are very pleasant. Both sides have a specific painting, the Asian side with a Japanese-style portrait and the Indian side with a historical Indian scene. The antique cutlery was gorgeous and a rare thing to see. The quaint decor also includes a lush lawn for having a cup of tea. Tea! That reminds me, often, they serve you jasmine tea (complimentary) at the beginning of your meal.
Overall, the place is a highly recommended place for families and friends. If you have strong taste buds with a love for decor, this is the place for you.

YOU DIE AT NIGHT
The fan drones on ceaselessly,
Replacing your soft occasional snores.
Blue ink pours in from the sky,
Shivering along the path of your lifeless spine,
And digging into every vertebrate in hopes of reviving you.
But your brittle hair, wilts into your pillow,
Pale skin decaying into your duvet.
Your eyes have been lifeless for years now,
Creased and filled to the brim with exhaust.
Your feeble bones wither as the morning sun,
Peeks through the blinds.
A bitter taste returns to your tongue,
The taste of death at reach.
Your fading vision fills with unspoken confessions,
Much emptiness,
Taxing regrets, and voidance of all that could’ve been.
You were full of vibrancy, the sun homed your smile.
What happened?
A silent, final wish escapes your cracking lips,
In hopes that maybe in next life,
You will be remembered.
You die in the night,
Where nobody will find you,
Where you are alone,
Forever.

ENDLESS BLESSINGSSss
It was a silent day,
I was counting the blessings that came my way.
My loving parents, fulfil all my needs.
Blessings from an amazing school, that does not treat me like a fool.
My dear leaders, always by my side,
In the same journey for the bumpy ride.
As I was still counting, there were many more,
And were waiting, knocking on my door.
Oh God! I am thankful for the blessings sought,
Grateful I am, for all I have got.

A VISIT TO SHANTI BHAVAN
The students of Grade X visited Shanti Bhavan - an old age home, on October 6, 2023, as part of their community outreach program. This old age home is managed by the Mother Teresa congregation and it offers care to approximately 60 senior citizens, many of whom face physical and mental challenges. During their visit, the students toured the facility, engaged with some of the residents and explored various rooms such as the wards, physiotherapy room, doctor's office and prayer room.
The students also made generous donations which had been collected at school. This experience deeply instilled in them the value of gratitude. They were heartened to witness the good facilities that are provided to the residents.
Most notably, the students observed the residents' innocence, enduring hope, positivity and unwavering humanity in the face of life's challenges, which left a lasting impression on them.

THOSE MOMENTS
“Nothing can last forever. There isn’t any memory, no matter how intense, that doesn’t fade out at last.” - Juan Rulfo
There are moments in life,
When it feels like time doesn’t exist at all.
The clock stops ticking,
The wind stops blowing.
The thunder stuck in the sky,
It’s in front of you and you can’t deny.
Though these moments are not serene,
Hidden inside are lies, that can’t be seen.
They feel lifeless and void,
Showing a world utterly destroyed.
Those moments are described as numb,
We don’t know what’s going to come.
It’s hard to understand what you feel,
Is it everything or nothing, or is it even real?
It’s gettin’ to a point where you can’t think,
You are still in that void, can’t do anything but sink and sink,
Deeper and deeper, like the eye of a hurricane,
Everything goes away but what remains is the everlasting pain.
Then comes that time,
Where you feel like living is not worth it,
But then sometimes,
When you’re about to quit,
There comes a time that says, ‘Dude, you can’t just lose your grit!’
