APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
With this course, students learn to design comprehensive communication projects aimed at specific applications and major discipline courses. This is the first moment in which students approach the specific knowledge corresponding to the professional field: visual design for promotional products on dynamic and multi-media devices (experience display).
The programme grants 8 credits, divided as follows:
EXPERIMENTAL GRAPHICS: 5 CFA
DIGITAL DRAWING: 3 CFA
Successful students will be able to:
EXPERIMENTAL GRAPHICS:
Experiment with different visual languages
Identify their personal style and develop it through research and technical visual preparation
DIGITAL DRAWING:
Analyse visual elements applied to the professional field, in association with the potential of communication devices
Develop the visual elements as instructed by the brief and manage the entire creative process on, at least, three different output types: infographics: relation among images, information and typography; illustration/graphic elements to support communication (from frame by frame digital animation for videoclips/TV jingles, to calligraphy experimentation); multimedia illustration project
EXPERIMENTAL GRAPHICS:
In-depth study of visualization techniques and analysis of visual elements (sign, type, calligraphy, etc.) applied to graphics and illustration
Experimentation of expressive techniques and individual language
DIGITAL DRAWING:

This is a theoretical/project based course.
Students will take part in the following activities, which may vary depending on the development of different projects:
