APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
The aim of this course is to complete and link all the courses in Technology of materials attended since the first year; it consists in a workshop to support advanced projects. Materials, technologies and their applications will be further studied through the development of a highly complex project within the chosen field (interiors).
The programme consists of one single module, which grants 6 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Have a deep understanding of materials and their characteristics
Be familiar with the materials working processes used for the development of Interior design projects
Choose materials and working methods for Interior design projects
Physical characteristics of materials
Metals
Glass
Plastic materials
Materials in Interior design projects
This is a theoretical/project based course.
Students will take part in the following activities, which may vary depending on the development of different projects:
Classroom lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools
Exercises and revisions
Workshops
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
Assessment tools may include:
Oral exam
Graded exercises/revisions
Completion of comprehensive projects
Submission of exercises, projects or research work
