APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
The Design 4 course is structured as a design workshop and design research, and allows to choose among different course themes. The course is propaedeutic to the final thesis for both Interior design and Product design. The course will be divided between research on a topic that the student will later develop into the final thesis, and short project-oriented workshops.
The programme grants 8 credits, divided as follows:
PROJECT RESEARCH: 3 CFA
PROJECTS/WORKSHOP: 5 CFA
Successful students will be able to:

Manage research tools to develop the thesis subject
Develop a comprehensive research that includes historical, productive, market and language inquiries
PROJECTS/WORKSHOP:
Develop, over short time, comprehensive projects from concept to prototype
Correctly respond to a project brief
PROJECT RESEARCH:
Research on the thesis project topic
PROJECTS/WORKSHOP:
Short projects and workshops on different Interior-design related themes
This is a theoretical/project based course.
Students will take part in the following activities, which may vary depending on the development of different projects:
Classroom lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools
Exercises and revisions
Workshops
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
Assessment tools may include:

Completion of comprehensive projects
Submission of exercises, projects or research work

The final grade will result from the weighted average of the programme modules.
