APPROACH
Theoretical/project based
This project-based course studies space as a communication tool. It consists in translating otherwise expressed ideas and stories into space. The course takes the students towards exhibit and retail design, with stronger emphasis on the experiential aspect.
The programme consists of one single module, which grants 6 CFA credits.
Successful students will be able to:
Study spaces as important communication tools
Translate otherwise expressed ideas and stories into space
Complete an exhibit and retail design project, emphasizing its experiential aspect
Identification of concepts and locations through iconographic research
Creation and definition of mood and concept for the future project
Experimentation with meta-design until concept approval
Design
Techniques for presentation, documentation, graphic presentation and development of a communication strategy for the final event
This is a theoretical/project based course.
Students will take part in the following activities, which may vary depending on the development of different projects:
Classroom lectures
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools
Exercises and revisions
Workshops
Individual or group projects
Individual or group study and research
Assessment tools may include:
Oral exams
Completion of comprehensive projects
Submission of exercises, projects or research works
