A strong transformation plan unifies the vision for technology integration and device maintenance with the school improvement plan or goals for the year.
CSK has a full-time Intervention Specialist that works closely with Core Content Instructional Coaches and the VILS Coach. Through careful data analysis, a growth goal was established. School-wide data digs were conducted with every student and the goal was communicated to students. All stakeholders in the school community were made aware of the growth goals and contributed to that growth through after-school tutorials, Saturday school, Instructional Focus activities on Tuesday's and Thursday's, and overall whole-child support. Based on the MOY data, current strategies are working and modifications are not needed at this time.
Teachers engage in bi-monthly PLC's with the VILS Coach for consistent exposure to current instructional resources to assistant with pedagogical practices. The Media Specialist, VILS Coach, Instructional Coaches, and administration model instructional resources during faculty meetings, Content PLC's, and school wide town hall meetings for teachers and students. During district wide PLC's, technology is always used to demonstrate instructional strategies.
VILS IT management practices have been incorporated districtwide with the use of Incident IQ but have slight modifications based on individual schools.
CSK device policies are well documented and understood by both students and teachers and reinforced by the media specialist and VILS Coach.
