The CSK Leadership Team models and collaborates weekly(Monday's after-school) to support campus goals. Leadership from the district level is provided by the area associate superintendent, Dr. Dan Sims. He is in constant communication with the principal to support innovation and collaboration.
Felisa Ford is the point of contact for the district and CSK in regards to the VILS program. During collaboration with Ford and the VILS Coach, the documentation of policies for teachers and student device usage has been created and maintained at the school by the VILS Coach. Following direction of Mrs. Ford and other leadership from APS, the VILS Coach has modified Professional Learning opportunities to include APS 5 Core Principles and also slightly altered some IT practices to better serve our students here at CSK when it comes to device management.
The Teacher Leader Corps (TLC) are members of the CSK staff who displayed interest in technology through an interest meeting set up by the VILS Coach. They were selected based off their technology knowledge and willingness to assist in the growth and development of technology usage at CSK. The VILS Coach has trained them on device procedures, teacher/student device troubleshooting strategies, and various instructional resource usage. They have assisted teachers, students, and administration with various needs throughout the building. This has enabled the VILS Coach to observe, assist, and lead throughout the building because of their added support. The TLC has proven to be an amazing asset in contributing to school improvement and student learning. Being apart of the TLC, participation will strengthen their technology and leadership capacity and allow them to grow which will directly impact student academic growth at CSK.
