March is Women’s History Month!
It’s a time to learn about women who have made important changes in the world—like leaders, scientists, teachers, and artists. Many women had to work hard to be treated equally, and they showed courage, strength, and creativity. This month reminds us that everyone deserves the chance to reach their goals, no matter their gender.

At Del Mar Union School District, we are committed to nurturing global citizens by recognizing and celebrating the diverse experiences, backgrounds, and values that make our community unique. Like a mirror, we encourage reflection on our own beliefs, values, and experiences to better understand who we are. Like a window, we look outward with curiosity and empathy to learn from the perspectives of our students, families, and communities.
This balance of looking inward and outward strengthens our commitment to building an inclusive environment where everyone feels seen, respected, and valued. Throughout the year, we invite you to observe heritage, wellness, and awareness months that honor our students and support meaningful conversations both at school and at home.
