March is Irish American Heritage Month!
During this time, we learn about Irish Americans and their history, culture, and traditions. Irish people helped build our country and shared music, stories, and celebrations like St. Patrick’s Day. It’s a time to honor their hard work and the ways they’ve added to American life.

At Del Mar Union School District, we are committed to nurturing global citizens by recognizing and celebrating the diverse experiences, backgrounds, and values that make our community unique. Like a mirror, we encourage reflection on our own beliefs, values, and experiences to better understand who we are. Like a window, we look outward with curiosity and empathy to learn from the perspectives of our students, families, and communities.
This balance of looking inward and outward strengthens our commitment to building an inclusive environment where everyone feels seen, respected, and valued. Throughout the year, we invite you to observe heritage, wellness, and awareness months that honor our students and support meaningful conversations both at school and at home.
